As you know, Iran is a country with astonishing historical cities, lush forests, spectacular villages, lofty mountains and mysterious deserts. So, it will appeal to a wide variety of tastes and interests.
After admiring cultural assets of Persia, your fist cycle starts through Varzaneh Desert, located in southwest Isfahan. This beautiful desert offers unique scenes from golden sand dunes to the starry sky and spectacular sunrise and sunset. What makes desert so popular is the peaceful ambience you experience away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
While cycling though the region, you will explore, oases, springs, sand hills, an old caravanserai, and a miraculous wetland at the heart of the desert.
The city of Isfahan offers you rich art, history and culture. You can also cycle through the city as the cradle of art and architecture and associate with warm people.
On the first day, you enjoy cycling alongside the Zayandehrud River. You can also visit the outstanding historical bridges having spanned the river. The other monuments you will explore are Jameh Mosque of Isfahan and the Vank Cathedral. On the second day, you continue your cycling to Chehel Sotoun Palace besides Naqsh-e Jahan Square and the monuments around.
The next site you can explore on your wheel is Persepolis, lying in Fars Province. Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid and one of the world’s magnificent architectural sites.
Your tour ends by cycling through the beautiful city of Shiraz where the beautiful gardens and mosques are waiting for you.
Arrival in Tehran
You will be met on arrival at IKA Airport and transferred to the hotel.
Kashan-Yazd
In the morning, depart Kashan for Yazd, the city of windcatchers. On the way, make a stop in Nain to visit Jameh Mosque of Nain, built with an inspiration from the Prophet Mosque in Medina, and Kavir Anthropology Museum.
Yazd-Varzaneh
Begin your leisurely day by departing Yazd for Varzaneh, a desert town located in Dasht-e Kavir (central desert). An interesting attraction to visit is the Salt Lake which covers a vast area with salt and belongs to Gavkhooni ecosystem. The next site is the Safavid era Dovecote Tower.
Varzaneh
After breakfast, you go cycling along Torsh Spring to Ghoortan Citadel. This 90-km distance offers you historical dams and bridges.

Isfahan
Continue your sightseeing in Isfahan by bikes. First, cycle to Chehel Sotoun Palace, a brilliant example for Persian garden in UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then pedal around Naqsh-e Jahan Square, the second largest square in the world, and visit the monuments including Imam Mosque, a stunning monument at the head of the square; Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, also known as women’s mosque; and Ali Qapu Palace. In the afternoon, take some leisure on your own.
Persepolis-Shiraz
In the morning you go sightseeing in Persepolis, the ancient capital of Persia with its wonderfully well-preserved remains. Then ride from Persepolis to Naqsh-e Rustam; the necropolis of the first Achaemenid Emperors, Darius the Great, Xerxes, Artaxerxes I and Darius II; and continue your cycling to Shiraz.
Departure from Shiraz
You are transferred to SYZ Airport for your flight home.
Tehran-Kashan
Start your sightseeing in Tehran, the bustling capital of Iran. The first site to explore is Golestan Palace. This palace, listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site, displays Iranian crafts and a unique architecture influenced by western architecture. Then head for Iranian Artists’ house, which is a hub for the contemporary and traditional arts. Afterwards, head for Kashan, lying on the edge of the desert. In Kashan, you will visit Fin Garden, listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site as an example for the Persian garden. End the day by visiting Tabatabaei Historical House. This house, fitting the desert climate of Kashan, displays lavish decorations and architecture as the reflection of the luxurious lifestyle of a carpet merchant who lived in Kashan.
Yazd
Start your sightseeing in Yazd by exploring Towers of Silence in which you get to know the ancient funeral ceremonies in the ancient Persia. Afterwards, head for Zoroastrian Fire Temple where the holy fire has been burning for about 1500 years. Continue to Water Museum, where you get familiar the traditional water-supply systems of Iran and the importance of water in the desert climate of Yazd, and the Timurid-era Amir Chakhmaq Square. Afterwards, head for Jameh Mosque of Yazd, an archeological masterpiece featuring two tall minarets that are observable from outside the city. End the day by strolling in the Historical District, listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Varzaneh
Today, you cycle a 70-kilometer distance from Gavkhooni Wetland, a unique ecosystem, to Khargushi Caravanserai.
Varzaneh
Today, you go for a 60-km cycling in Avani area and explore oases and sandhills.
Isfahan
Today, you go sightseeing in Isfahan, the capital city of Iran in the Safavid era, and explore a whole parade of wondrous sites on your wheels. First, cycle to Jameh Mosque of Isfahan, one of the five biggest historical Friday Mosques in the world. Then proceed to Si-o-se Pol Bridge, constructed in the reign of Shah Abbas ІІ, and Khaju Bridge; known for its unique architecture, decorations and tiling and experience an enjoyable cycling alongside the Zayandehrud River. Then cycle Armenian Quarter and visit the Vank Cathedral, constructed with an inspiration from Saint Stepanos Monastery and influenced by Iranian and Italian art, and its Museum. At the end, bike to Grand Bazaar of Isfahan, one of the greatest and luxurious trading centers in the Safavid era.
Isfahan-Persepolis
In the morning, you leave Isfahan and ride a 30-km distance from Sivand to Persepolis.
Shiraz
On the last day of your tour you go sightseeing in Shiraz, the city of love and poetry. First, visit beautifully-decorated Nasir-ol-molk Mosque; also known as the Pink Mosque. Afterwards, you visit Qajar-era Narenjestan e Ghavam Garden in which there is a glorious pavilion and museum. Next, you proceed your sightseeing to Hafiz Tomb where you appreciate a great poet who was also admired by Goethe. Finally, you end the day by visiting Ali Ibn Hamzeh Holy Shrine and Vakil Bazaar; a traditional covered bazaar located at the center of Shiraz enjoying natural air conditioning, arches and stunning architecture.
